SNOW!!!

So in my early years in the south I did not understand how the entire town would shut down at the mere threat of wintry weather a.k.a. snow. But the longer I have been here the more I understand why - especially with this being the first really big snow we've had (we had a couple inches last year but that was nothing compared to the 8 inches we got yesterday). They just are not prepared to handle these things and rightfully so - they don't need to spend the money on having appropriate equipment to deal with snow when it only happens once a decade or so. Plus, we are all thoroughly enjoying having to just stay at home and play - especially since daddy is here with us. Much fun has been had!

Christmas

I'm not ready to put up all of the Christmas pictures yet but I wanted to at least get these couple of pictures up (mostly for mom and dad) of the kids in their adorable Christmas outfits courtesy of Aunt Valerie. Thanks Valerie for helping to keep my kids looking so dang cute!

The Beach

Well it was a raving success. I don't have a lot of time right now to write about our adventure but I wanted to get some pictures up quickly for my family out in WY! I plan on having the girls write some letters to you all out there to tell you more about our trip but I will try to do some as well at least through the picture captions though like I said I'm not taking the time to do it right now. So much to do and unpack after such a fun adventure, especially with a 4 month old!

Peek-a-Boo

Well our Isaac is growing fast! He is smiling and cooing like crazy. Anytime one of us starts talking to him he gets a big grin and starts talking back. We can tell that he definitely notices us as compared to other people that he doesn't know, it takes a little studying and time for him to decide if a stranger is smile worthy. Brett started playing Peek-a-Boo with him earlier this week and we got a little video of it so I thought I would share it along with some other pictures from the past few weeks including his first time in the pool.

Here are a few recent photos of the little man. His newest fun thing is that he is smiling and cooing! I love it! There is one picture of him kind of smiling in here but I'm working on getting a better one as well as a video of him cooing. The last 3 pictures are of something Ella has talked about doing since the day we told the girls we were pregnant. There are pictures in Ella's scrapbook of Brett and Madeline doing the same thing to her and she's seen the pictures so many times I think she actually thinks she remembers this happening. She has been so excited to do this and they finally got to yesterday!

My Birthday Surprise

So last night as I'm fixing dinner I notice Brett's car pull-in a half hour early or so and wonder why it is that he's here already . . . the video will explain . . .

Yes, I was surprised beyond words! What a fun way to celebrate my 30th birthday. The only thing that could be more fun is if mom and Erin were here too.
